“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.” Galatians 6: 9-10

Dear friends of Ukraine, Gift of Life (GoL) and the Crisis Fund:
The fourth large shipment of non-perishable foods and hygiene products was delivered to the GoL garage/warehouse in Ternopil today, May 13th. These shipments are not just a few boxes. Today’s semi load contained 12 full pallets of such products as ready to eat jars of meat and beans, instant meals and sauces, as well as rice and pasta for cooking to provide both quick and easy meals as well as cookable food, included was shampoo, soap, and other hygiene products.
Distribution proceeds at the Lutheran pro-life centers (Ternopil and Krementz), hospitals and schools where refugees are lodged and other centers for the traumatized and displaced. Those who receive aid are informed that, by the grace of God, Lutherans from the states provided it. Evangelism takes place directly at the life centers and Medical Clinic on Wheels (MCOW) and all are invited to the Ukrainian Lutheran Church and Bible Studies (with times and directions). Ternopil counselor refers all refugees to MCOW for needed medical or dental care. Our counselors and volunteers have been bravely providing spiritual and psychological counseling along with the aid. As many as fifty or more mothers with children are seen each day. The clinics continue to provide medical and dental care for refugees and the needy in Ternopil. The MCOW staff see the maximum number of patients everyday – twenty or more – each bus.
As for us, we plan to return soon, leaving May 20. Lord willing, we will pick up a GoL vehicle in Amsterdam (driven early on – with permission – by Ukrainian refugees), head east through Germany, Poland and eventually to Ternopil, Ukraine.
This impossible, shockingly brutal war has YOU, the donors stepping up showing Christian love to broken, traumatized (mostly mothers, children and elderly) victims of the aggression. THANK YOU. Your gifts are not sitting idle. Your donations are reaching the desperate, downtrodden, spiritually shattered populace of Ukraine.
PRAY – both for our expedient return and for continued success of the Ukrainian Crisis Fund.
To God be the glory!
Nicholas and Kerry Laper
